Mack Wilberg is appointed the director of Men’s Chorus. Under his direction, Men’s Chorus becomes the largest collegiate male choral organization in the country with over 400 annually auditioning for the choir.
Ralph Woodward takes over as Men’s Chorus director with short periods under Maughn McCurdie, Gaylin Thomas, and Jarolde Harris.
Norman Gulbrandson becomes the director of Male Glee; three years later, BYU offers Men’s Chorus as an official class.
Male Glee, the forerunner of the BYU Men’s Chorus, is organized, directed by Anthon C. Lund until the mid-twenties, followed by Florence Jepperson Madsen and her husband, Franklin, with short periods under William F. Hanson and John R. Holliday.
